The Law Review’s New Member Orientation will commence at 5 pm tonight (August 26) in room 520. This meeting is mandatory for all new members; of course, any EAEs, NCEs, or SAs that are able are welcome and encouraged to show up. We expect the orientation to last about thirty minutes.
If you’re a new Chicago-Kent Law Review member, welcome.
Please take a look at the material on our staff writing program page. From these documents you’ll get a pretty good idea how the program works and when is expected of you. It will also serve as a background for the disucssion in your first Legal Writing IV Equivalency class.
ATTENTION all new (and old) members of Law Review! Executive Article Editor Rue Toland and Notes and Comments Editor Mike Gustafson will be holding an OCI Info Session this Thursday at Kent where they’ll share insights and tips about the interview process. Mike just finished his summer program at Sidley Austin, while Rue participated in the summer program at Mayer Brown. Topics of discussion include the interview process itself and what to expect (on-campus and call-backs); how summer associate programs are run; and the etiquette of the interviews, lunches, and follow-up contact.
Please come and bring your questions – no question is too silly or too small.
